I know that you can switch tabs with shift cmd [arrow key] in Mac Terminal, but it is painful to reach the arrow key. How can I change the default keybinding? Answer Before Sierra (El Capitan and earlier),

My computer automatically stops sending a video signal when I stop typing in my console for a while, regardless if any command is running for a long time (like watch ). My question is, how can I disable this "power management" and force Linux to keep sending a video signal via VGA (in case that matters)? Edit:// The machine is not running an XSever. I have been trying to save audio files like the one embedded in http://www.1242.com/ondemand/sugawara/130106sugawara.asx . The ASF file is mms://copper.jolf.jp/1242/sugawara/130106sugawara.asf. I am using Windows 7 and 10 and several different browsers. In VLC, if I do Open Network Stream then Convert, it says "Streaming" for about a minute, but does nothing, and then says "Your input can't be opened ... Check the log for details." The log says "access_mms error: no data received". I have tried Dump Raw Input and that fails too. If I paste the mms...asf link into IE then the audio file streams in Windows Media Player, but the Save As option in the File menu is greyed out. If VLC is the browser's default plugin then it fails to stream the file. I found some suggestions at How to rip an asx stream - preferably free but none of them work. I'm having a problem syncing my iCloud with my Outlook mailbox. My calendar, contacts and tasks have disappeared. I understand this is probably the result of some sort of compatibility issue with Windows 10. I've had the problem before but managed to fix it previously but I'm having trouble doing so this time. In order to fix it, I believe I need to upgrade my iCloud but to do that, I'm told I need to first update my Media Features Pack for Windows. I am using Windows 10 Pro N (x64) and I have the Media Features Pack KB3010081 currently installed. I've downloaded what I believe is the latest Media Features Pack KB3099229_x64 but when I try to install it, I get the message "Feature Pack for Windows KB3010081 is already installed on this computer". It seems my system doesn't recognise that the latest update is different. I tried to uninstall the old version (KB3010081) in order to then re-install the new one, but the old one doesn't appear in the lis...

I have a hidden file, but I couldn't see it in "Explore" (My computer). Then, I downloaded Total Commander, and I was able to see the hidden file. In Tools->Folder Options, I have: Show hidden files & folders - checked, and Hide protected os files - unchecked. Why can't I see this hidden file in "Explorer"? Answer Another possible solution is that your PC is infected, and a Root-Kit is hiding the file from the explorer.

However, it looks like Chrome may soon enable support for extensions to duplicate tabs , which means you might soon be able to find a Chrome extension that can duplicate a tab through a keyboard shortcut. Currently, all of the extensions that show up in the store don't preserve history. Non-keyboard-wise, there are two ways you can duplicate a tab: either middle-click on the refresh button, or right-click on a tab and choose "Duplicate" from the menu:

My laptop's battery tray icon sometimes says "plugged in, not charging". How do I make the battery start charging again? Lenovo X230, 6-cell battery, Windows 8.1 64-bit. This question says that battery's firmware or driver would sometimes decide not to charge at near-full capacity. However, this has happened at various charge levels - for example, now it's at 53%. Battery is at decent state - lasts several hours when unplugged. Using original charger through a docking station, but I tried another charger connected directly, and the battery continues to not charge. Tried restarting the laptop - still doesn't charge. Tried to disable+enable the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery device - still doesn't charge.
