I have a friend with an Inspiron 6400 laptop with Windows XP. The driver CD is missing and the wireless driver is not installed . I have tried several drivers but with no luck: How can I install the drivers? I don't have a wireless device under the Network adapter label. I only have 3 things : 1394 net adapter , Bluetooth lan access server driver , Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller... Nothing else appears even after installing the above drivers There is no Unknown devices

What is the correct terminology that can be used when discussing about these things? I have a wireless router running DD-WRT (the latest version) and I set it up to be a Repeater Bridge to function as a second router, which means I had to change the Local IP Address and change the router mode to "Router" from "AP" mode. After I did so all devices connected to this router network properly and connect to each other and the internet, but I cannot access the second router's Web GUI. As a matter of fact, all devices connected to the router point to the primary router (AP mode) as being the Gateway and Router, and I can access the primary router's Web GUI. Any idea how to access the second router's Web GUI? Any ideas are appreciated.

I have two desktops each with single vga monitor output. I am interested to have an extended monitor setup, where i can extend the desktop of one of my machines and that way i can also work on the other using remote desktop. Any idea how can i do that? I am running Windows 7 on one and Win Server 2k8 on another. Answer I think you're looking for a solution like MaxiVista , as already explained here (and in tons of other discussions on SU). Synergy is something else, where each computer keeps its screen, only the mouse and keyboard are redirected. However, I think it's a bit strange to extend the desktop on the screen of the other computer, and do a RDP connection to access it? But it should work, as the RDP connection will access another session and the Maxivista extended screen will use the interactive session.

I share a PC with some other people in the office (we all work different hours). They've installed a bunch of programs they use (AIM, etc...) that place a shortcut in C:\Users\Public\Desktop . If I delete the icon, it's also going to be gone from their desktops as well. Is there a way to hide these icons on my desktop, yet have them be visible on other people's desktops? Answer There is no known way around it, but I know a little workaround: Select properties on the public folder, go to the security tab and revoke all permissions for your user profile, by dissalowing reading from it your account won't be able to see what shortcuts are inside \Public\Desktop\ - resulting in the behaviour you want - no icons/shortcuts will be loaded from it.

How can I get autocomplete in Sublime Text 2 (or 3) to work with built-in and custom PHP functions, methods and classes? In Atom I've got it working with built-in functions, like this: In Sublime it lists built-in functions and some custom classes (after awhile) but without any arguments. Nothing else works. I figured out how to get a Fedora 11 VMware Workstation install to boot a physical SATA disk with Windows XP installed that was also being used to dual boot the same machine running Fedora. However, when I try to log into that VMware session of Windows XP, I get a dialog box asking to activate Windows XP. If I try to activate using the original key, it fails. If I boot back into Windows XP from the bare hardware, everything is fine again; it doesn't ask for activation. How can I make the virtual machine work? Will using a volume license key to activate the VMware session work? I have access to a VLK from work and this is for a work related purpose. Will a MSDN key work? Or will I have to reinstall from scratch first and then activate it twice? Does using the hardware profiles cause this situation? Is the any reason that I can't just reactivate Windows XP because it is an OEM key from the original hardware installation?
