This question is very similar to this one: Word 2010: Create a Style without a font color
But it is for a different version of word, and none of the answers given at the linked post solved the issue.
I am using
Winword from Office 365 ProPlus Version 1902.
I regularly copy & past in color-highlighted text from some other sources, and while I want the font to change based on the destination document, I want to keep the font-coloring of the original.
Example:
My source text document looks like:
And I want to copy & paste it into another document so that it appears as:
When pasting, I'm given a couple of options:
- Keep source formatting
- Merge formatting
- Bitmap
- Text only
None of them is helpful here. So what I want is to paste with "Keep source formatting", and then highlight that text and apply a pre-defined Style from my destination document.
Unfortunately, all Styles I can define override the color information when applied.
